During LASIK, your eye doctor will make adjustments to your cornea, which could affect some of your nerves. This may lead to a little bit of loss in your eye’s sensitivity, which means your tear ducts will not trigger enough production of tears for lubrication. This condition is known as “dry eyes.” It can last for a few weeks and is a fairly common occurrence after LASIK surgery.
